Selling Change

I sell the idea of change.

Not Really

But sort of kind of.

People like to buy the idea of change.

Take one look the American political election process and you’ll see that America loves to buy change.

Over 50% of Americans buy the concept and idea of change.

But there’s a challenge.

That also means that 40 something percent of the population doesn’t buy change.

Or so it would seem.

In the world of tech change is a core tenant.

Sometimes change costs money.

And sometimes is just costs action.

The funny thing is that just like our electoral process…

Only about 50% of the businesses out there want to change.

And well, you know how the other half feel about it.

Change mindset.

So here’s the secret about selling change.

And the secret is this…

Businesses that are growing embrace change.

Businesses that don’t embrace change grow to a much lesser degree.

Now I don’t know about you but trying to change someone’s mind who doesn’t want to change seems like a lost cause.

They know they need something but they are unwilling to change.

And so nothing happens.

And you move on.

Change isn’t as bad as people make it out to be.

It’s very similar to the word action or activity.

Apparently people don’t like these words either

Embrace change.

You’ll be better off for doing so

Make that change.
