Why I Write

̈Smile, breathe and go slowly.¨- (Thich Nhat Hanh) From a point of view, this quote can be an encouragement to writers who have writers-block. It helps writers to be calm and try to slowly proceed and not rush in order to get terrific results. Writers doesn’t write only because all the reasons that was stated previously, but also for other purposes. Through writing, we can express our thoughts and feelings and shows who we are as a person. It also helps understand all the materials we learn in life. Our writing can be judged during the duration of our lifetime whether it’s in college, a workplace, or even our community. Writing allows for us to become a good reader which can also equip us with good communication and thinking skills. Eventually, this can help in getting future jobs after having a writing profession. Furthermore, writing can also help maintain all our ideas and memories for future use on just a single sheet of paper. Especially to researchers, writing can help them understand what they study and learn. This can preserve their ideas and important finding so the next generation can continue on their work. Additionally, writing shows our understanding of the subject and make our reasoning and information visible for others to see. Writing doesn’t have to be boring and lifeless, it can be fun and be entertaining to others (funny stories).

Most people don’t have the luxury to be able to write unlike us who can. For example, there could be a possibility that they have a disability that prevents them from writing to they don’t have the right to an education, unlike us. Students shouldn’t complain about writing for school or they have to do too much writing, instead they should be grateful for they have an education and the ability to write.
